GATE 2017 Exam Date

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2017 exam dates has been announced by IISC. GATE 2017 exam held on February 4,5,11 and 12. GATE 2017 exam is held every year by IISC, Bangalore for providing admission to students in Master of Engineering degree programs. GATE 2017 scores will be valid for a period of three years only after the GATE 2017 results are announced.

GATE 2017 is administered by the IISc and seven IIT's namely Mumbai, Delhi, Kanpur, Roorkee, Madras, Kharagpur, Guwahati.

The online registration for GATE 2017 starts from September 1 and the last date for applying online is October 1.

The GATE 2017 papers have been revised and thus that would be different from those of GATE 2016. Previously, there were total 22 papers, but now there would be 23 papers as new stream namely, Petroleum Engineering (PE) has been added. A total 65 questions are to be answered and maximum marks are 100. GATE 2017 online exam is a computer based test (CBT) and will contain only multiple choice questions (MCQ) to be answered in a time duration of 3 hours.

This time an online virtual calculator will be provided to all the candidates in the GATE examination, while previously candidates had to bring their own calculators. Candidates need to download GATE 2017 admit cards from the official website of GATE 2017.

GATE 2017 Eligibility criteria:
Candidates must have passed B.E./B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharma and M.Sc/M.A./MCA and Int M.E./M.Tech or dual degree and Int M.E./M.Tech (Post B.Sc) and professional society examinations (equivalent to B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch) with good marks from any recognized university or institute.
